Scotland County Rotary Club

The Scotland County Rotary Club has been serving this area as an active service club since 1979. Many of Scotland County's business leaders have been members at one time or another since its inception. Currently there are 32 Rotarians in Scotland County.

Part of Rotary International, the world's oldest service club, the Scotland County Rotary Club is famous for its Chicken Q's and Bingo Tent at the Antique Fair. This is a very active club, which lives up to the motto "Service Above Self." Rotary every year provides scholarships to area high school students moving on to college, sponsors the local Cub Scout pack, runs a Kid's Fishing Clinic, sponsors two basketball tournaments for students, annually feeds over 100 families through the Share the Harvest Campaign, promotes the upkeep of the parks in Memphis, sponsors a Fishing Tournament, and volunteers its time and provides financial support to many local causes.

Rotary meets every Tuesday at Noon at Keith's Cafe in Memphis. Anyone interested in joining can contact a Rotarian, in particular 2002-03 President Karl DeMarce at 465-8977 or Vice President Dan Remley, 465-7120.
