2003 Tractor Pull
Twin State Pull Association has joined with the East Iowa Tractor Pullers for
a dual-sanctioned event to be held at the fairgrounds as the grandstands main
event Thursday evening.
The tractor pull will feature one division of the Hotstock tractors competing
at either 8,500 or 9,000 pounds. "Hotstock entries are basically your farm
tractor gone bad.", said promotor Dan Hutchings.
The event will feature three different divisions of Prostock tractors with
two weight classes in each division. The Prostock class features most
modifications and basically is one step below the national competition machines
said Hutchings. The Prostock tractors participate in the 5,800 and 6,200
pound classes with the TSPA and has two divisions in the East Iowa group.
The first division features tractors weighing in at 7,200 pounds and 7,500
pounds. The heavier class has machines weighing either 8,500 or 9,000
pounds.
Hutchings indicated he was expecting approximately 30 units to participate in
the pull as the associations draws from all across southern Iowa and northern
Missouri.
In addition to the tractors pulling at the event, the TSPA also sanctions
pulls for both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive trucks.
This year's pull will have a new twist with the addition of a V-8 mini-rod
pull as well as a supermod mini rod pull.
